Hall's Sock factory - now private flats known as The Courtyard
The old hosiery factory employed many of the village's adults before becoming small business units and closing in the 1990s. It was then converted into flats.

The Golden Jubilee Clock The clock was renovated by the Charity of Thomas Barton to celebrate the Golden Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II in 2002. It was originally placed on the wall of Hall's factory on Station Road by a member of the Hall family.

The Cemetery, Hinckley Road
Hinckley Road Cemetery was purchased in 1883 for £205 and is one and a half acres in extent. It was not consecrated until 1917. To date some 1100 people have been buried within its confines. Details of all burials can be obtained from the Cemetery Administrator via the Parish Clerk. Entrance to new cemetery, Wykin Lane Winter sunshine and frost in the woodland area
